With the expansion of urbanizations, the insertion of architectures in the context, in the landscape that characterizes the surroundings, is becoming increasingly important and important. It’s the first important step in designing architectures of the future that are environmentally conscious and sustainable. Numerous and important opportunities for experimentation conducted by Cecchetto&Associati, which has repeatedly addressed the issue, such as the mouth of the port of Malamocco, in the Venice lagoon, where the architecture, the control infrastructure of mobile dams, become two Giant green and red “lanterns”, able to signal the passage of the port mouth to large ships entering the lagoon.
There are also numerous cases of industrial buildings, with a great visual impact, in terms of the width and height of the volume, that a careful design to the context can minimize, adopting “skins” exterior that dialogue with the surrounding vegetation and the skyline of the mountain slopes that surround the building.
Often in the projects, where it was possible, the Cecchetto&Associati used underground volumes, especially in the case of cellars where the internal air volumes must have a constant temperature around 15 degrees.
