The architect Alberto Cecchetto, for many years full professor of urban planning and urban design at the IUAV University of Venice, has carried out with the collaboration of Cecchetto&Associati many experiences of urban design elaborating:
– General Urban Planning (PRG) for Italian and foreign cities (Assisi, Rovereto, Trieste, Cesenatico)
– Strategic Plans of Wide Area (territorial and territorial plans for the municipalities of Alto Garda, for the Municipality of Peio and for the Fascia Lake Garda in Trentino)
– Plans for the historical centres (to mention those of Urbino, Assisi, Pergine, Ala) and projects for public space.
– Implementation Plans for portions of cities particularly interesting for future development (Riva del Garda and Rovereto)
An urban-scale design experience, which has also been applied to international contexts such as the Addis Ababa City Plan and the General Plan of the Maltese Islands.
A design experience capable of moving simultaneously at multiple scales of intervention, thus managing to identify not only the main urban issues to be addressed, but also the design tools to be adopted in the single urban intervention.
