A luminescent table, a retractable roof in Tessera on the edge of the lagoon
The new access strategies for the island of central Venice also involve new poles of attraction of the mainland. Behind the new water terminals of Fusina and Tessera, new services and equipment of territorial importance are concentrated and placed. In Tessera, together with the new airport, the new dock of F. Gehry, the administrative and management centre, the new stadium will be built. A fully covered stadium for 30,000 spectators. The project, second place in the competition launched by Venezia Calcio, involves the construction of a large bright steel platform, coated in Teflon. A horizontal plane, which can be opened and closed like a large folding tent, rests on the stands that have the shape of the grassy margins characteristic of this reclamation area.
