Plan of the Public Space and Urban Furniture, Municipality of Pergine, Trentino
One of the first plans adopted in Italy for the pedestrianization and redevelopment of the public and collective space of a city. Starting from the “Color Plan”, which defines rules and suggests solutions for the redevelopment of the facades of the historic center, the plan redefines and limits car mobility in the streets of the historical center. It delimits the areas where to realize the car parks, and perimeter the “minimum units of intervention” that involve one or more streets of the historical center, fixing solutions and intervention criteria for the pavements, for the driveways, for the size and shape of the windows and the signs.
